How to Choose the Best Electronic Cigarette for You
As a first time e-smoker, it could be quite a daunting task to choose the best electronic cigarette to suit your needs. However, by factoring in a few simple criteria, you could make an informed choice and enjoy your e-smoking experience much better.
What is an E-cigarette? An electronic cigarette is a device that closely imitates real tobacco smoking – in terms of taste, look and feel, but without the tobacco. There’s no smoke involved, because the e-cigarette has liquid nicotine in it that is vaporized and inhaled. A typical device comes in a kit that consists of a lithium ion battery, a set of prefilled cartridges and a USB charger. Cigarette Strength Almost all smokers carry a preference over the strength of their tobacco cigarettes. Just like analogs are classified according to tar as high, medium, low and extra low, so are e-cigarettes according to nicotine concentration. 6-9 mg of nicotine per ml of liquid is considered low, 10-17 is medium, 18-22 is high and 24-36 is extra high. You could make the choice of the best electronic cigarette for you depending on these concentrations. Taste As a smoker, you might be accustomed to the taste of a particular brand of cigarettes. Most smokers are quite concerned about liking and adjusting to the taste of e-cigs. Well, the truth is, you will never know unless you try one. E-cigarettes come in a host of flavors like vanilla, cola and coffee, just to name a few. Some makers of the device are even trying to emulate the taste of popular tobacco cigarette brands such as Marlboro and Camel. Cost Several statistical studies have proven that e-cigarettes are more economical when compared to tobacco analogs. But while choosing the best electronic cigarette for you, you would need to do some research about all the different brands out there and how much each one costs. You might even consider disposable e-cigarettes as they are generally cheaper than analogs, but they are considered inferior to the rechargeable ones. Hopefully, these tips will make it easier for you to choose the best electronic cigarette that suits your requirements. My Experience with Electronic CigarettesI decided to write my experience with e-cigarettes because thy seem to be quite the talk of the town these days. A lot of people claim they owe their lives to these little gadgets while others say that just because they produce vapor instead of smoke doesn't mean they're safe. So I thought I'd offer my 2 cents on the matter, since I've been using them for the last three years.
I had been smoking for seven years when I first decided to try my luck with these revolutionary gadgets everyone called electronic cigarettes. I had tried everything from nicotine inhalers to online e-books, but nothing seemed to get my mind off analog cigs. So, as a desperate measure, I decided to give them a try. I talked to some friends who had tried them, went over a few online e-cigarette reviews, to see what the most popular brands were, and I finally took the plunge. I got myself a personal vaporizer. Back then, e-cigs were a lot harder to use than they are today. You had to familiarize yourself with the its components and assemble them yourself without breaking anything. Now, you only get a battery and a cartomizer, screw them together and you're good to go. It took me a while to figure out how to fill up the cartridges with just the right amount of e-liquid, but I got the hang of it eventually. The flavor was a whole other matter... If you've ever tried an electronic cigarette you know vapor may look a lot like smoke, but it tastes completely different. No matter how strongly a company claims its e-juice resembles actual tobacco, it's never going to be the same, because there is no burning going on in the device. So I decided to go with other things I liked, like chocolate and cherry, and even though I still craved analogs, they eventually did the trick. In a few months time I had forgotten all about traditional cigarettes. Of course, I was still using nicotine, but my breathing had improved considerably, to the point where I could actually run a few laps without gasping for air and feeling my heart beating like it was about to burst out of my chest. My family was no longer complaining about the smell of my clothes and my bad breath, and I could actually go to a bar and enjoy my e-cigarette inside, instead of stepping outside for a traditional cig. Everything was great apart from my addiction to nicotine... But I suppose you can't ask for perfection. Yes, I still crave nicotine, but without the thousands of toxic substances in tobacco, I don't feel I have anything ti worry about. Yes it is a cardiac stimulant, but so is caffeine, and as long as you donb't have heart problems, it's not going to kill you. For a guy who's actually tried everything before this, I'm quite happy with what I've accomplished so far. Yes, there is a lot we don't know about electronic cigarettes, but we do know for sure they are much safer than traditional cigs. And I think that's good enough |
